Proposed Service Cancellation of Tuen Mun Hospital Routes A &
B
Upon gradual returning to normalcy
of society since 2023, Kwun Chung Inclusive has
been closely monitoring the service of feeder routes and explore areas for
improvement through enhanced promotion and bus route rationalisations. On 5 August 2024, Tuen Mun Hospital Route was split into Route A
(Wu King Estate – Tuen Mun Hospital) and Route B (Chi Lok Fa Yuen – Providence
Garden for Rehab) with a view to expanding the service coverage and increasing patronage.
However, there was no notable improvement in patronage in 6
months’ time after the service enhancement. The average passenger per trip of
Tuen Mun Hospital Routes A and B remained less than one.
To ensure proper use of public resources, we have to duly consider
cancelling the Tuen Mun Hospital Routes and B of the feeder services in end May
2025 / early June 2025. Affected
passengers please consider taking other modes of public transport serving the
area or book Dial-A-Ride service operated by The Hong Kong Society for
Rehabilitation to your destination. We will announce the final cancellation
date later.
